Well if you haven't scoped out our facebook profiles yet, then let me tell you about our new addition... Locke! He is a little baby kitty about 8 weeks old.
It all started Sunday morning at 8:20 when we received a call from our friend Katie Mason. We were planning on meeting her and Katlyn for breakfast that morning at 10. However, they had captured a kitten and wanted to take it to the vet at 9 so maybe we could have breakfast earlier or later. I said that we should definitely see this kitten because who wouldn't want to see a baby kitty? Then we found out there was another kitten that was still outside with its mom (who was not too happy). So then we were intrigued.
We had been thinking about getting a friend for Hobbes because he hasn't been eating well at home, but whenever he goes to Sarah's (our cat-sitter and long-time friend) house he eats just fine with his several cat friends. We were strongly considering getting a puppy...but puppies take a LOT more time and work.
Long story short, we went over to Katie's and corralled Locke and took them both (his sister is Elphaba from Wicked) to the vets. Though they are a bit fearful because they are feral, overall they were very healthy and clean.
Hobbes still doesn't know what to think of this little thing but he is very curious about him. Locke is becoming braver and braver everyday, starting to explore a little bit. This morning he purred in my arms for the first time, which was wonderful. He is so cuddly and we can't get enough of him!
